Who I am…

I’ve spent the past 15 years teaching students across the world—from some of the toughest schools in New York City to some of the most prestigious international schools in Latin America. I have a Masters of Science in English Education and have taught AP Literature, AP Language, AP Research, SAT prep, as well as designed award winning programs and interdisciplinary Humanities courses—but what I really teach is something deeper: how to think, how to trust yourself, and how to grow.

My path has never been traditional. I was awarded a fully funded fifth year of university to design a holistic curriculum that flipped the standard model on its head—approaching one topic through multiple disciplines, rather than viewing the world through just one lens. That work led to my selection for Teach For America, then one of the most competitive education programs in the U.S., where I quickly became known for my ability to walk into any classroom, adapt under pressure, and make learning feel human again.

Since then, I’ve led departments, redesigned K–12 programs, coached teachers across continents, and built curriculum that’s not only rigorous—but meaningful. I’m a certified mindfulness educator, a nationally ranked spoken word poet, and a firm believer that brilliance shows up in many forms—and sometimes, it just needs the right conditions to rise.

The students I work with don’t just earn higher scores. They learn how to self-regulate. To write with power. To speak with clarity. To stop second-guessing themselves. They leave our sessions lighter, clearer, and more equipped to face the demands of rigorous academics—and of life.

Because this isn’t just tutoring. It’s transformation.
And the truth is: when we tend to the mind, the scores follow.

Why choose a holistic approach…

Because mastery isn’t the end goal—empowerment is.

Confidence isn’t just a feeling, it’s a neurological shift. When students feel safe, seen, and capable, their brain can access the prefrontal cortex—the center of critical thinking, problem-solving, and executive function. But when they feel anxious, ashamed, or overwhelmed, the brain defaults to survival mode. Rote memorization. Shutting down. Checking boxes.

That’s why I don’t just teach content, I build confidence. Through inquiry-based coaching, academic rigor, and emotional attunement, I help students activate the part of the brain responsible for deeper reasoning, reflection, and creativity.

My ultimate goal is to teach students in a way that they no longer need me. I guide them toward independence, curiosity, and clarity so they can trust their own voice and thrive far beyond the classroom.

This work is about more than grades. It’s about growth. And it’s about making sure every student knows they’re capable of far more than they imagined.
